I have visited Northampton Marine recently, and the assortment of boats and skiing toys was some of the best I’ve seen anywhere. Thank you John, Becky, and the entire crew for being so helpful. I’ll be back. |

After a horrible craigslist experience our hopes were dismal for getting on the water this summer but a little research lead me to NC Boat Brokers where John Mathews gace me a fair price for my trade in and also put me in a newer model fish/ski boat for a fair price. I was very impressed with how he treated us, not as dollar signs but as a family who was just trying to get in a boat for the summer. The boat has a reasonable warranty and John said I could call him with any questions or issues. You wont find that on craigslist. We learned the hard way bbut from now on we have one place to look for our boating needs. He’s worth the drive from central VA. |

I drove 4 hrs to buy a used outboard from john matthews. Dropped my boat off gave a deposite and picked my boat up 2 weeks later with no issues. I was given a 90 day warranty. John is Honest and Dependable, his staff is also Honest and Dependable. I have about 250 hr on the motor and it runs perfect. Northampton Marine is one of a kind. If you are in the market for a good used motor with no hassle take a drive, you will be happy you did. |

Absolutely loved doing business with Sean and John, would highly recommend them to anyone. I was looking to repower my bass boat and these guys far and away provided excellent information and service – made the drive from Prince George, VA worth every bit. My boat is now running better than ever thanks to the detailed work making sure everything was set-up just right for optimum performance. Many thanks to y’all for your help, I will be back anytime I need work done. |

Working with Northampton Marine has been a pleasure. As a novice boat buyer I was wary of buying a boat, and especially a motor, that looked good but could be nothing but problems. I bought my 2000 Carolina Skiff (1980 DLV) with a 90 Hp Johnson motor from John and his team a year ago and am very happy with the boat, the motor, the experience and even the price. I am especially pleased with the motor. I like that although it’s a 1998 motor it’s been carefully reconditioned and problem free so far. I also like that John has been very happy and patient with me to answer any questions. |

Although my boat is old, they have looked after me without complaint, even when I get frustrated. I know nothing about the care of this vessel but they have seen to it that we are safe and have an enjoyable boating experience. Always friendly and very knowledgeable. They get my recommendation! |

Prior to relocating to Lake Keowee in Seneca, SC in February 2014 I replaced an outboard motor on my boat. After a pretty intensive search I put my confidence in John & Sean Matthews at Northampton Marine. A few weeks ago the replacement motor went down. Seeing that I was now 367 miles away from NC Boat Brokers I had one of the Marina’s on Lake Keowee look for the problem. After several weeks I was told I needed a whole new lower unit that would run me around $1,900.00 dollars. I email John who replied that he didn’t think I needed a new lower unit instead he felt it was a water pump problem. His words to me were, “You’re my customer and if you can bring the boat to me I will take care of you.” Knowing that I would be coming from a distance John told me to let him know when I would be coming and if I could get the boat there by 9:00 AM Sean and the service department could work on the motor and get me back on the road as soon as possible. As promise I arrived at 8:45 AM just as Sean was pulling into the parking lot. They had me on the road by 11:00 AM with a fully repair motor which turned out to be the water pump. There was no charge for the repair. John statement was correct, I am his customer and he took care of me. John and Sean are in business to keep your business and that is a rare commodity today. If you’re looking for someone you can trust when it comes to your boating needs I suggest you look no further then John & Sean Matthews at Northampton Marine. Randy G. HoyesSeneca, SC |

I purchased a new motor from this business last year, and found them to be a real class act. They are as honest as it gets. You can plainly see that this is a family business, and they treat their customers as like you are their family! I would recommend Northampton to anyone who is looking for a fair and honest deal! |
